do you live with somebody? Easy to figure out what's wrong:

Go outside and lay down in front of your jeep. With the engine off, turn the steering wheel back and forth, see if anything moves that shouldn't. I like to jiggle it back and forth quickly, makes things pretty obvious, since no power steering, anything that is lose will be the first to give, and show you where there is play.

have already done that and what we noticed was the track bar which we just had replaced the kid said it went on good the mounting hole did not appear wallowed out.

I went with the moog problem solver this time instead of the cheapo mastercraft or whatever it was.

Seemed like after I swiped a deer I had this problem more so then ever but I am unsure but I know that when I had the factory track bar on still I had play but I did not really get a death wabble it seemed more of like a bad belt in one of the tires that made everything shake alil at 60.

So from what we saw the track bar was loose bushing junk already and I replaced it a year and a half ago.

What I noticed is that on the highway if it is somewhat windy and I am trying to go 60 the jeep will kinda rock back and forth when the wind hits or if I hit a bump.

I have replaced all the shocks about 5 years ago one thing I do know is that I bounce pretty good when I hit a decent bump so my plan is to replace the coil springs I have the original coil springs still I also plan to replace the steering stabilizer shock.

Mentioned that something was still loose in the front end the kid said it could be sway bar links.

At one time everything was tight around 3 years ago when I had the original track bar replaced but 3 years later and clipping the head of a deer who knows.

I also get a pop hear and there when I turn the wheel or hit a bump and seemed like the steering wheel had alil play my dad thought it might have been play in the steering box so he tighten it up still does this pop once in awhile.

My plan so far is to try replacing the control arms first however I wonder if my problem could be a bad wheel bearing.

When I am going 60 down the highway and I hit a bump could that problem actually be one of the front wheel bearings going crazy and I think its death wabble.

One other thing I noticed is that my front drivers side tire was very low on air barely at 20 psi so I tried to fill it up I got it up to maybe 24 and ran out of time as I tried to fill a couple other ones too I drove it 20 miles down the high way and hit a bump and it did its thing so I tried to slow down to 40 till it stopped then I took the next exit.

I finally filled all the tires up set the air pump for 32 psi and the car does not seem as bad over bumps as it was the wabble doesn't seem to happen as easy as before you can feel it at 50 when your on a back road I feel like if I had been going any faster then that and hit the same bumps it would do its thing.

I checked all the lug nuts everything was tight except one tire it had one nut that seemed alil loose so I tightened it up.

I hope I don't spend more $ then I need to at this point if I replace 4 or 5 things at once I'm just guessing and donot have the $ to just put in something I donot really need right now hopefully I can tackle this soon

I have the same issue with my 1994 Cherokee. Goes wild shaking. I'll start with the track bar, then wheel bearings, then all the other parts next. Is that a good order? Been probably 90,000 miles
Will Order track bar from Rock Auto as was recommended. I looked at one recommended. There are a few options.
Any opinion which is the better choice?
One recommended in this thread
http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....sn=432&jsn=432 at $42

Another with powder coated bearing
http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....180213&jsn=434 at $52

i have herd decent things about the polyerathane bushings the one i saw were blue but yea they have cheap track bar for around 35 but i donot think it lasted that long.

they claim less squeaking with poly but if you dont have a way to press the bushing in why bother to worry cheaper to get the part like u show with the bushing in it. the moog part listed is of decent quality as far as i been told.

Im waiting for my parts they never made it today but if the arms donot fix it i will be looking into the sway bar links

i wouldent mess with the wheel bearings unless you have really high miles the main problem is something else.

Anyways does anyone happen to know the bolt size for the control arms and what if anything i could use if the original bolts snap and i cannot get exact factory ones

Ok, I'll wait on the wheel bearings. I am ordering the track bar from RockAuto. The other parts I should consider are?Ball joints (is there a right, left etc) and ???

I'm looking at this page for description etc.

Ok so to update i drove it around the block again today and i did not here that same noise it seemed like it was coming from behind the dash and almost like some thing was hitting the floor boards.

I had my father drive it that same day and he herd something behind the dash he thought and crackling wish wouldent sound good but thats just from the windshield when its cold out it does that.

He mentioned that if the noise is coming from a bracket on the frame and i were to drive it around i could snap something right off and it would cost good money to repair

So he checked it out and everything looked tight i rocked the car up and down both sides so i figured we might have to drive it around again we never checked the torque on the bolts because its cold wet and snowy out and a blizzard is coming our way.

So anyways i got in it today and went around the block hit the brakes tryed it in reverse did not notice that same noise as at first did not feel like the car was twisting at all.

So we checked the bolts and everything and the uppers looked like the type from the newer cherokees that have a star head i am sure the place the guy went to get those would have gave him the right bolts that would work because they do hundreds of arms and springs and shocks pretty much everything jeeps and subies are some of the most common cars up here.

I think next thing on my list will be the front shocks and maybe coilsprings i cannot say say if i have the death wobble still but seems tighter over bumps.

One other thing is i used to get a pop like sound coming from the drivers side front end almost sounded like a bone popping out of socket when i hit bumps or touched the brakes now i donot hear that annoying noise anymore so if anyone is hearing that type of noise id say new control arms will take care of that

Got delayed ordering parts.
Forgive my ignorance . I don't know the names of the parts but I have replaced on other cars.
I won't do wheel bearings now. Maybe later. So to fix the front end, I need the track bar. Now the proper name for the other parts.
And how many. I want to take care of the entire front steering issue .

Ok well here is an update on my problem something is still wrong in the front i hear an ocassional pop as i did before when i press the brakes i hear it sometimes i hear it if i hit a bump.

Now to the wobble type problem i so far have had a track bar replaced as well as all of the control arms replaced yet something is still shaking when i hit a bump i noticed when i was going about 35 down the road i hit a pot hole and it felt like something was shaking on the drivers side almost like the drivers side tire still unsure of the problem?

I know it has been about 2 weeks since you have posted but I have a good track bar you can have. Dont know exactly where you are in So Cal but if you are close enough to pick it up, its yours. I also have all the stock steering that is still in good condition. I might still have my old arms too which were in good condition.
