89 Cherokee pioneer dash lights
Hello every one I'm a new member here.I just purchased a 89 pioneer over the weekend and surprisingly it has a few issues😉. The main one is the dash lights, radio and heater don't work. I've been digging a bit into this and well the headlights and tail lights work. Also the turn signals work but when the headlights are on the rh indicator in the dash stays fully illuminated until I toggle the switch to go right.
From what I'm coming across it could be many issues but plenty of people are saying it's the ignition switch. Does this sound like a good area to start doing my diag first?
Thanks for any input and well this is a really awesome site...one I'm sure my wife will be mad at me at because it will make me spend more money.

When headlights are off does right signal flash faster then left ? If so a bulb may be bad on that side as for heater and radio fuses checked yet ?

Dash lights work without the ignition on, so it's not the cause there.
Radio, heater blower, wipers are affected by the fat brown wire at the ignition switch down on the column.
2 problems?

Well I did a quick look last night. The fuse was popped for the dash. Changed it out and I now have dash lights.
I still have a blower that doesn't work but at least I can see my speed now....my gut is now the resistor since I did hear the motor briefly. I still have the rh signal indicator on with the lights on. All bulbs are good though.
When I changed the fuse I noticed the "amazing" work of the previous owner did....needless to say I will be busy cleaning up the mess on this beast.
