Angry '89 4.0 power steering pulley

new belt still chirping when I tighten p/s pump bracket bolts....tried everything including spacers....seems to fall out of line when tightened down. any ideas on why it may not line up correctly....shaft, worn bracket..etc. can get it to stop chirping only for a short time then it returns

You might check your harmonic balancer.. sometimes they separate and cause belt mis-alignment. Check this site about belt alignment.. it's for a Dodge Ram, but works for about any vehicle.

spray water with squirt bottle on belt see if squeek stops try not to spray everywhere just belt...
