Why don't you take this one Pete, I sort of busy. Kidding! I just wanted to chime in that on Cruisers advice, a bunch of trouble has been solved by dealing with that c-101 connector.
Crescent City has a new Auto Zone. Their policy is to loan you free, there high end $160 fuel pressure tester, then you can bring it back, no charge or you bought if you don't return it. Then they sell one for $40 something.

What's up with "short term memory loss"? Point being is if you lost the short, is it suppose to come back some day? Yea I remember you commuted from Humboldt south to.......Aw,,,phit...I forget. What waz your IAT resistance again?
8-8 clean that c101, or chop it out and solder all the wires. Just sayen, I've seen plenty of posts where that helped. I've learned at least 1/2 of what I know about Renix jeeps from Crusier.
Do take a good few minutes to look over the wiring from the injector harness that goes down to the lower sensors. (02, knock, and engine temp). Cuz the hot exhaust manifold is there and other things that can chafe/rub.....Really a whole window opens if you remove the air cleaner so you can reach and see down under there. You might check your left engine mount, tighten your manifold bolts if the air box is off.
Myself, I won't buy a gauge. I mean I have one here almost in reach that could be rigged to work, but hey, it's free at the store. Why would I buy one?

Well pulled c101 and cleaned it best I could wasnt all that bad like someone has had it apart before i have and refreshed ground on head to firewall and dipstick ground at block, adjusted tps and cleaned throttle body. Seems to run a little smoother at idle but haven't taken it for a test drive since it got late. We will see tonight after work

black goes to a ground stud in the distributor, no? This is the ford-sourced Duraspark ignition?
If so you should have ground there, not +12V. That would keep it from operating.
Green module output wire should switch to ground when you turn the key ON. That's the control line to the coil negative that actually grounds the coil to fire it. Of course if the black wire isn't grounded the module doesn't have any ground to work with.
