So, If there is no injector pulse, which sensor does that? CPS or CKP? I am having the same no start issue.

injector pulse dist cps ......spark bellhousing cps .....assuming all other ignition parts are good and assuming your getting fuel the test have to be performed checking for codes is a must also here unless you have a idea where the prob may be occuring as with the ops spliced cps plug

freegdr, I will have to disagree with you on this. The ECM needs the CKP to determine TDC for spark and injector firing order, it needs the CMP to know what cyl to fire. With out one or the other it will still spark and pulse sometimes and try to run without the sensor in a limp mode. But I will need to know wether he has niether spark nor pulse to get an idea of whats going on. If he has no pulse either, then next I would check for ASD power to injectors and coil and such.

my jeep had the same symptoms i finally located the injector pulse wire,i believe it's green with an orange stripe, where the harness comes off the back of the engine and goes up and over to the fuse box, at the bend on the harness I had a short, well the whole wire was broke in half

With your noids light hooked up, wiggle the fuel injector wire and see if that does anything, you can also use a volt meter

Multi meter works fine, you can get the noid light at auto zone, its a little easier if your working by yourself

I would suggest either getting a noid light or a test light, test light can be had for about $2. Hook the ground clamp of the test light to the power side of the bat, and use a paper clip to probe the ground side of the injector harness. Crank the engine and the test light should flash. Or get a noid light and just plug it in, crank it over and it should flash. If you PM me I will have no prob trying to talk you through this over the phone.
