Title says it all. Can't find my keys. I think I left them 3 hours away up north. I haven't driven it enough to remember which keys are for what. If I remember right, the keys are the same for ignition and drivers/passenger door and the one for the hatch is different. Right?
If this is the case can I just pull the door lock and the hatch lock and take them to a locksmith to have new ones made?

I see. I had two keys. One square head and one round. Guessing they were the originals cuz they had AMC on them and, well, they looked old. I know the square one was for the ignition and 99% sure the round one was for the hatch. I don't believe that they were the same. I'm just trying to remember if the square one was also for the doors. I haven't used the Jeep enough since I bought it to remember for sure. Of course on the day I finally get it titled and registered (TODAY!), I can't find my keys.

On mine the door is different than the ignition and the hatch. The hatch key on mine looks just like the ignition key, but for some reason the ignition key won't work in the hatch. But the hatch key will work in the ignition.

That's right, that is for the GM column. (GM cars/trucks had the same round/square combo). For the GM the round is door and the square is ignition. However based on my key combo you may be right about the ignition being for the hatch as well. If I didn't have experience with my key set up I would say the door key would be for the hatch as well...

Thanks for all the input, guys! I really appreciate it. I ended up pulling the cylinder out and took it to a locksmith. $15 later he had me two new keys (he actually only asked for $10 but I gave him $15). Not sure what I did though when I put it back together because soon as I turn the key the horn starts blaring. Ugh. I just removed that metal ring and put it back together for now. I gotta tear it apart again because apparently I didn't tighten down the screw that's holding the cylinder in there enough because the cylinder is kinda loose. It's not a huge deal but it's bothering me.
Anyone got an idea of what I did to make the horn go off whenever I turn the key?
For $10 I'm definitely pulling the lock off the hatch and taking it to him tomorrow.

Round head key is for doors and hatch.
Make a key for the door, and you have one for the hatch.
Square key is for ignition only.
I have an '87 Pioneer.
Wouldn't it have been easier to have someone overnight the keys to you?
