my 1988 cherokee started running real rough today. if i rev it up it will stall out. i take it for a ride and it has no power and it backfires thro the intake. checked the timing and it seems to be in time. hoping to have it back up and running for a offroading trip this weekend. any ideas?

 

Check your egr valve.

 

sounds like your fuel pump going out and its lean poping through the intake check you fuel pressure.

 

ill have to check the fuel pressure tomorrow
