jeep can sit for days and you can start right up. Go to the store 5 minutes and come back out and it will not start unless you push gas pedal. Drive home let sit until cold will start with no problem. Drives up and down the road with no problems. I put a new fuel filter on it. I also changed the air charge temp sensor with one out of a used jeep because I couldn't get at parts store.
still the same results.

inline six cyl. 4.0 automatic.

Check your TPS adjustment, and while you're in there you might as well check the manifold air temp sensor and coolant temp sensor... the procedure and specs are in the service manual.

 

clean the throttle body, and all associated rigamaboos attached to it. Try running some fuel injector cleaner. Think to yourself, what expands when it gets hot, what needs to move to function.

 

Could be your crank sensor, sometimes when they're going out if they get hot they will mess up.
