Someone before me, converted the AC from R12 to R134.
They installed high and low service ports on the compressor, these are the old style where you open and close the valve to service the freon.

Mine are leaking and I don't know where to purchase new ones, or if they are available for purchase.
Or do I possibly need to start over with a new AC system?

I think I can post pictures later today.

Any information would be appreciated.

that sounds like the OEM valves to me.............

Sounds like someone just did the R134a "conversion" a while back. They dumped in the special oil and then recharged with 134a.

Proper way would be to replace the compressor, drier, condensor, get new hoses made, new expansion valve for 134a and flush out the evap.

Vacuum the system out and refill with 134a.

I don't know. Maybe used. That's how 3 of mine are done. Old AMC type service valves with 134A adapters.
You can actually replace a compressor without losing refrigerant with those.

Where's the leak?

These 2 are for the conversion part. Amazon is where I got mine. Yours are straight, these are 90*, much easier to get the gauges on.

This is the whole valve that attaches to hose and compressor. If I remember correctly these are a Ford type Rotolock item. I can't remember the exact size but this site has what you need. Just call them, they'll know.

Did you do a leak test with dye ? You might just have to replace an o-ring. Still have to open system and re-fill though.

I looked again at your pictures, and I don't see conversion fittings added to the valves ? Hmm, are those rotolock valves r134 size ?

Valves are turned wrong direction turn them out might stop the leak. Theres also caps missing.

Are they leaking from the stems with the square drive?

If so, they might not be seated properly. I can't remember at the moment, but I believe they should be backed all the way out to seat......

I am having someone do the AC fill and check for me. A mechanics shop.
I also thought I could buy the seals and inserts.
Rockauto has them, but I don't know if they are the right size.

I agree they should be backed all the way out to seal off.
It is just spewing out of the openings.
In one of my pictures you can see inside the port and there is nothing there. Like a schrader valve or something.

How do I know if they are the right size?

They were removed as part of the 134a downgrade kit.
