88 4.0 intake manifold ?

88 4.0 intake manifold ?

has any one cut the dowl pins on the head back a bit . to make room to slide the intake on with the 4 bolts on the bottom just started in the head ?

What? Got me curious. You can't fit the manifolds on? What's in the way?

My motor mounts are shot and I need to move the engine a bit with a big bar to remove my E-fan. If your manifold won't fit..you might look at the mounts. Just put a block under the pan and a jack it up a tad for now. But check the mounts.

MAYBE.

someone mushroomed those on mine by beating on i used a drimmel

looks like it would be easier to install with the 4 bottom bolts just started in the head. looks like a pita tring to start those bolts with the intake manifold in place. i guess ill leave the dowls as is. thanks for the imput.
