Default 87 XJ fuel lines and regulator oring questions.

hi,i need your opinion or technical opinion
please i need to know how many oring come in each side.
As you can see in the picture , thats what i removed and found from each side (inlet and outlet)
this is the 1st time im gonna fix a fuel leak from both sides,,
i have the factory manual and it says , cherokee xj must have 2orings and a spacer in the middle. but its a technical information ,doesnt say what side much have those oring and spacer,, what about the regulator?
in my Xj the spacer doesnt exist, there is a metal washer in the middle but i think is part of the line and the regulator, or maybe is super stuck.
that green oring made me scratch my head,, it is originally put it there or the last owner (mechanic) put it there cause kept leaking
please check the picture,if you have a question please let me know,i will check every 1 hour the forum.

btw is it possible to install the oring without this tool?just with my 90 degree pick tool?
and also im starting to thinking that the stuck washer is really part of the line and maybe the oring and spacer go behind that part, i will take photo tomorrow

Then what exactly are you asking?

Throw those pieces in the trash and get new repair kits. One for each side.

What "washer" are you referring to? The "flange" in the line is supposed to be there just like it shows in the other thread. There's the same arrangement on the fuel rail inlet., That's what locks the line into the disconnect. Make sure you get any remaining pieces out of the regulator, and the fuel supply line.

Having just replaced this same part a week or so ago, I could not get the tool to work. So I just shoved 2 of the orings in the regulator without the plastic spacer and plugged the line back in. No leaks.

I wound up buying the "Standard" brand repair kit for the fuel fitting. It worked like a charm.

I had to use a pair pliers to pull the insert tool out, but the fuel line then slipped in without incident. No leaks.

nice !!!
i dont have that tool.
i will use some picktools to insert the orings and spacer

i already bought the kit from a factory,, for the inlet(regulator) i bought 2 viton orings (5/16) and 1 nitrile spacer and also a small viton for the bottom ,, cause nobody can confirm the small bottom oring is standar ,, i bought it anyway

and for the outlet 2 orings with the spacer (nitrile) and also the big one for the rail.

hope work with no leaks.. tomorrow willdo the job

What size o-ring is "the big one for the rail?" I've had a tough time finding online what size that specific o-ring is. All the threads I've found just mention the 2 that go with the spacer.
