Default '87 Cherokee acceleration stuttering

Hi guys,

I just bought an '87 Cherokee (4.0L inline 6, manual). I've noticed that starting in 2nd gear it seems to stutter around 1800RPM or seemingly when it's working much harder than normal (usually going up a hill). It also does it around 60MPH.

I have basically just started getting into auto mechanics after buying this Jeep so I'm really lacking in technical knowledge. I tried putting in Sea Foam to see if that would do anything but got no noticeable difference. My next guess was maybe the gap size in the spark plugs or needing to clean the carburetor.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
