Default 87 blower moter fuse help.

Ok this is my first post but I have searched all over trying to figure this out. With my slight knowledge of electrical work I am sure the fuse box under the dash is hot all the time. My blower motor fuse port is corroded and is causing a draw therefore I have no blower motor. Am I correct on this note. I think I could snip the single wire leading to the fuse port and run a constant hot off of my battery or is there a cleaner easier way of going about this? Any info is greatly appreciated.

You could do it that way, don't use a constant hot though or you'll end up killing the battery sooner or later. Use an ignition-switched power source. Be sure to fuse it appropriately.
