86 cherokee 2.8
The truck stoped runing on my found a bad ingition control module replaced it had the same problem 2 more times could the coil be bad causing it to f up it has a new cap and rotor on it

Are you putting the supplied grease on the bottom of the module when you install it? It could need a new distributor too.

It could be the pick up coil inside the distributor, but it is very difficult to replace on that engine, you're better off replacing the whole distributor. You may want to check the ground straps at the back of the engine to make sure they're there and tight.

Ok ill check the grounds. I seen the lowe part of the distributor rebuild threw auto zone for 110 with the module on it I think I'm going to get that because my cap and rotor r new. Is there any timing marks and do I even have to time the dis when puting in back in
