Default '85 & '94 Trying to take two and make one!

First off, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here for the huge amount of information and experience everyone offers here. Countless hours have probably been saved by checking on here when I hit bumps working on something rather than trying to try to come up with a solution on my own.

But now, for the big question...

Two vehicles with some pretty big differences... One runs.... But the entire frame is so rusted out that it's amazing anything is even attached... The other one, the frame is in perfect shape and everything is really solid on it... Except for the bearings seizing up and the starter needing replaced.

Back story (Feel free to skip if you want): My brother ended up buying a '94 for about $1200 cause everything on it seems to run pretty solid, but he didn't bother to crawl under it to check out the frame. Well, he's got it, and he's stuck with it so I'm trying to help him out and not feel so ripped off. My '85 AMC is still in pretty much pristine condition, a lot of work has gone into over the years, but I had to shelf the project for a little bit when the bearings seized up. We found some guys that are willing to do a full swap out, but we're trying to figure out first.... What can be saved from the '85.

Vehicle One: (Good Frame, Seized Engine)
1985 AMC Jeep Cherokee Pioneer
2.5L 4-Cyl, Single Bar Carb
5-Speed Manual, 2WD

Veichle Two: (Good Engine, Rotted Frame)
1994 Chrysler Jeep Cherokee Country
4.0L Inline 6 Cyl, Multi-Fuel Inj.
4-Speed Automatic, 4WD

So basically, I'm just trying to figure out... Does it even seem possible? Comments? Feedback? Suggestions for a bridge to jump off of? All appreciated. Thanks for your help guys.

I dunno. Never recently read about anyone putting the big 4.0 in a 86- XJ.

I would assume it is possible since they are the same size.... I think.

Might be one of those things you just dive into and find out for your self and then share to us over here.

Sorry I can't be more help.
