Hey guys and gals,just bought an 8.25 axle for 100 bucks. Was wondering if I need to dc abs if I do a swap? Also should I go 3.73 or 4.10 for 31 or 32 tires. Will be using as a dd and hunting rig. Sometimes I drive 700 miles to idaho for my hunting. 98 jeep cherokee classic auto 242 tc. Thanks in advance.

 

with 31's 3.73 will be fine. because if you were to regear the rear you would have to do the same to the 30, and gears aren't cheap.

either way I'm going to regear because I have 3.55 in it now and the 8.25 is 3.55. So since I'm going to do it I was wondering which. I wasn't sure if the 4.10's werte to low for alot of on road driving. I will also be putting in an aussie locker.

 

Go with the 4.10s. If you ever decide to go 33s, you will thank yourself.
