8.25 swap

Hey,
New here, Own a 98' 4.0 auto.
Just grabbed a wrecked 01' 4.0 auto for the motor and other parts. The 01' has a 8.25 chrysler. If the gearing is the same I have not checked yet,is the 8.25 worth swapping over to vs the 35?
I run 31's

Yes it is a lot better swap than the D35.

im running 36's on a 8.25 but if you could find a ford 8.8 that would work better they are 31 spine and alot better, I just pick one up a ta junk yard for $74 with disk brakes out of a 2001 explore

Yes they both do have 231's.
I will pull it out before it goes to the scrap yard.
8.8's are alot more than $74 around here, especialy 98 or newer.
This one is paid for with the same gearing,And I only run 31's
I run a dana 44 in my YJ,that I wheel more often and harder.
