Default 760X U Joints, 96’ or 97’
On the Dana 30 front axle...

The Bleepin Jeep guy indicates that the 760X U Joints are installed on the 97s and up.

Over at fourwheeler.com, a writer indicates (about the High Pinion Dana 30), “These axles ran all the way up to ’00, with the ’96-up units enjoying the bigger 760X U-joints that were previously a Dana 44-only joint..”

Which source is correct?

Which u-joints? Axle, or driveshaft?

Front axle.

Thank you to the pointer... The Dana sites is awesome http://www2.dana.com/expertforms/dek350.aspx.

But according to this site, the 5-760X is installed all the way back to 95'.
Now I am really confused.

my 96 had 760 x when I changed them out a months ago, it's an early build 96

My 96 has 760X on the front D30 axle.
