blocks suck IMO, either get bigger leaf springs, AALs, or drop shackles. you will need an sye with drive shaft. make sure your shocks and brake lines are good to 6". pitman arm drop. trac bar drop.

i run 6.5" on my homemade leaf packs (RE 4.5 pack bumped up to 7 leafs with stock spring rate and tera flex shackle/compared measurements to a complete stock cherokee axle to unibody) and i just extended my shocks and brake lines. the driveline is not modified (no xcase drop, no SYE, no extended drive shaft) and i have zero vibrations. the way the pack turned out the pinion angle is fine and i lifted the rear of the jeep with a fork lift to let the axles drop completely and the drive shaft is fine. there is a guy on here running 7.5/8" lift with no SYE or xcase drop and stock drive shaft and his is fine too. i think it is just how you set it up will determine if you need any SYE or driveshaft modifications.

agreed on the blocks. if you get blocks make sure they have the shim angle built in to them like RUSTY's offroad blocks.

I am running more than the 6.5", but there are some things you need to consider. First, you will need drop brackets or long arms. 6.5" is too much lift for short arms. Second, at that height and amount of flex you should consider a steering upgrade. There may be some that say "I got away with it without doing it" but you will find that you are at the limit of the angle the tie rod ends can accommodate. If you want to steer like a factory rig, then get a high steer. And get that SYE too. As you can see, once you get past 4.5" it starts getting expensive if you want it to perform properly.
