If your wanting to do it right, then i would install the sye, and a new cv driveshaft, i use tom woods and like there work. I got my sye kit off of ebay for 160.00. Cheap!

get an sye. there are more reasons to run one other than to get rid of vibrations

Default SYE and front drive shaft

On my old 93, I ran 5" with a T/C drop and it was ok

On my 97, I'm running 5" lift, PORC SYE and a Front drive shaft as a rear drive shaft. Thus I only have to carry 1 spare shaft instead of a front and rear shaft. FIRC the tailcone on the newer body style XJ are longer so a SYE is better to do than a T/C drop. Plus the SYE was $170 and easy to do.

Food for thought
