Yes that is correct im pretty exhausted been in hospital past two days so not thinking clearly. I would check the turnbuckle though and make sure it didnt come loose some how

If you park facing downhill, should be in Reverse. If uphill then in first.

I know my back brakes need replaced. But I also know that the jeep should hold itself on a hill.

lifting the jeep would only tighten the cable in one aspect. Not in actually tightening the E brake.

E brake cables stretch over time, try tightening up cable
