4x4 turning issue
I have a 1997 XJ 4.0L Sport with Command-Trac 4x4. About 140,000 miles on it. Great shape, however, when I engage the 4x4 system, I find it very hard to make full turns (either left or right). The vehicle becomes very jerky.
This has only started recently, and I'm hoping someone can provide insight as to whether this is normal or how it can be relieved?
Thanks for your help!

4x4 is being engaged on snow surfaces or on wet paved roads (I live in the city). The issue happens mainly when making hard turns, but even when I make a standard left turn, there is hesitation.
