go about 10 feet forward and 10 feet in reverse until it turns off.
the wheels cant slip so do it slowly, if it slips itll never turn off.

 

If you are asking me, I explained earlier
Passenger side of the front axle
UFO shaped object (front axle disconnect diaphragm) on the back of the axle
Should be a bundle with 3 airhoses connecting to it
Pull it the hoses from there and up by the distributor cap
Clean them out
Reattach with a ziptie at the UFO end
If they break or have broken, there's your problem

Get out of the driver seat
With the door still open, sit on your bum and then roll onto your back under the vehicle below the driver seat.
You should see your transmission
Between it and the floor metal (up towards the top) u will see your shift linkage
If that linkage is jacked, you are not disengaging the transfer case.
