Correct. Your Jeep uses only wires to activate the light, not vacuum. There's a switch just up and to the left of the tag that is for the light. Is anything plugged into it, wires touching?

I did the D30 Vacuum Disconnect modification, I am very glad I did it so far. I will hit the highways today and see how it goes. Thanks for the input and discussion everybody!

You'll never look back. And ya know what else? You'll never be stuck somewhere because that POS vacuum shift motor and it's assorted vacuum lines can't let you down now.
