if your anywhere near bako california, i have the 2wd front end and tranny i just pulled out.

Im still confused on why he wants to convert to 2wd. 99.999999999% of the XJ community either goes with a 4wd off the bat or converts to 4wd.

te jeep is apeice of crap .. it has rust every where .. im tring to make a jeep powerd drag car ... if some one wants to trade trannys im fine with that ... ill even trade front and rear axles .. i have 2 jeeps so the goal is too own my off road jeep and my jeep powerd drag car ... it was my friends idea

Well i thank you for the reasoning behind the abomination to a Jeep, but why not keep the 4wd for better traction off the line?

the car is too small the transfer case wont fit .. and i would not be doing this if the jeep was savable .. but the frame is gone .. im surpised it still is 1 peice .. i found out that the high output is producing 190hp and 225ftlbs tourque .. now mix that with a 2000 lb 1975 dodge colt and it is wheelie time

That would be cool to see. If I lived closer I would say lets trade but FL and NY are too far apart.
