could be a dog clutch which unfortunately will more than often require a rebuild to fix. but, as long as it doesnt bother you to much i wouldnt worry about it

Lol, he has the 4.0, I have a 4 banger. I was just saying that if your jeep is underpowered then you have to do that. I know a lot of my buddys that drive mustangs shift at like 2k most, but if you're underpowered you HAVE to shift at higher RPM's or it will slow back down. Or if you have any 4 banger then they all mostly change at high rpms, my moms turbo vtec accord with the 4 banger shifts at like 6k or so sometimes if you give it a little gas

I have 33s with the stock 3.07 and a manual. No problems. Get 22 mpg 50/50
Only issue I have is that in 5th going up hill doesn't work but shifting to fourth and it limbs no problem. Cant say I hate turning 1500 rpm at 60 mph.

the Syncros in 3rd and 4th are going out in mine too. I find double clutching as well as extending the shift time eliminates any grinding.

ya man u need to shift later. i am running 31's and i need to shift into 4th at like 2500 at least. you shouldnt be shifting that early especially with 3.07's. regear to 4.88's and you will be good. haha
