Question 4 wheel drive sound

I have this annoying vibration/knocking sound coming from my 4wd lever. When i put pressure on it the sound goes away and i can also feel like rotations under it. Has anyone had this trouble and how can i fix it?

Go underneath and adjust your shift linkage. It sounds like when I had my wrangler and I couldn't get 4 L, when i adjusted it a little (not enough) it barely got iunto gear, and vibrated and make noise. Its worth a try as that would be an easy fix, and the symptoms sound right.
