Default 4 wheel drive quick fix

Hey I was wondering if there were any quick ways to fix my 4 wheel drive actuator to keep it from slipping out. Please let me know any thanks!

I think I read somewhere on the forum that some just lock it on all the time with a bracket or something else to stop it from being dis-engaged. I'll try to search for the post...Tj

Iv you're talking of the vacuum activated disconnect on the dana 30 you can run a vacuum line directly to the intake manifold so it stays locked.

The shift fork is what holds the sleeve. The sleeve keeps your inner and outer axles connected. It's kind of a must-have part unless you go to solid axle.

I have a similar problem my 4x4 slips out of 4hi and makes a loud winding sound. I read that it might be a linkage alignment problem..it also grinds sometimes when shifting into and out of 4lo. Wondering whats wrong?

just unbolt the 4 bolts holding it on and turn it around. this will keep it in the locked position.

nope, it will only keep the axle shaft connected, just like the newer xj's and tj's.
works fine when in 2wd, then no worries when you pull the off road lever.
