Default 4 wheel drive question

I was wondering if the vacuum control for my 4 wheel drive can be removed and switched to manual? Head me to the right threads also please.
Thanks

Just Google "Posi-lok cable" & do enough research to be confident for the install. I have one in my YJ & it works much better than cracked vacuum lines.
