4" lift question

Default 4" lift question

im getten ready to put a 4" lift on my jeep and wanted to know if the stock control arms are ok to use or will i have some kind of problem with it. if im gonna have problems what sized do i need so that i can fabup my own thanks .

The stock arms will work, but are pretty flimsy. As for making your own, why would you? There are so many people making them, and they can be had for cheap if you know where to look (eBay and craigslist). I think I paid $30 for my Rubicon Express arms. The problem once you get into the 4" and up lifts, isn't the arms, but the angle of the arms. The angle increases and so does the harshness of the ride. You could get drop brackets, which help somewhat, but you lose some ground clearance, and that is the point of the additional lift. It's a trade off really.
