Default 4 door rear vent glass replacement

Some punk or punks broke my rear vent glass on the drivers side passenger door. Shattered it but the tiny gel it together. Safe lite wants $298 to replace it!

How hard is it to pull the glass from another xj and use it to replace mine?

A glass place told me 92+. You're positive it's only 97+?

I believe any year's with factory privacy glass works. With that rear window down and door panel off. There are just 2 bolts. A 10mm is used at the bottom and t30 torx at top of door frame. The 1/4 glass then sides down, to the side, then pull out.

That's amazing! I'd figure $25 + labor.

Hey so is that glass just held in by that frame on the side? Cuz since mine shattered that whole part is full of the broken glass and I can't for the life of me get it out.

Side note- how bad *** would full windows be?! Damn wheel wells.

Ah crap for real??? Then the 92 definitely won't work. The glass is separate from the frame.

it just came out easy as can be to the point where I felt like it was supposed to...the 96- years had different brackets too...there were two torx screws that held a shelf like bracket that the glass sat on. once it came off the glass just slid right out.
