4 Cylinder

I just bought a 1999 Jeep Cherokee for my first car. It's a 4 cylinder. I am a high school student so the better the gas mileage the happier I am. What should I do to make everything run smoother, better, and more efficient. I have heard of some people getting almost 24 mpg in the city. Any suggestions?

24 mpg city seems rather optimistic. A basic tune up and fluid change is a good start.

A lot of the time the 4 cyd. didn't get as good of mpg's as a 4.0 6 cyd. a lot depends on how you drive.

But a complete tune with all fluids is a good start.
