Default 4.7 Stroker questions

I want to build a 4.7 stroker for my jeep and I have a few questions.
What parts should I get that are reasonably priced and offer good performance?
Do I need to change anything on my Jeep to use this engine?

Thanks

The stroker is based off of a standard I-6 block, just bored with upgraded internals. so it will fit and wont need any parts changed on the jeep
As for parts...there are a ton of stroker build pages with all the info you need for parts ect. Look around and remember Google is your friend here

get a 4.2 crank and rods. I scored mine off of ebay. I was lucky and the parts were reconditioned like it was stated. I used my stock pistons and got away with a cylinder hone. I didn't have any ridge or taper in the cylinders. I now have a 4.5 I picked up more torque than hp. I plan on upgrading to the newer intake and getting a bbk throttle body plus scoring some better injectors. To be honest I think my mpg's haven't got any worse.

Im building a 4.7 now, go to jeepstrokers.com, all the info you need is there, use their comp. ratio calculator thats gonna be the biggest hurdle is CR 4.5L "simple stroker" will not be worth the effort IMO . the next biggest hurdle will be valve springs unless you go with the Mopar performance springs and retainers because the aftermarket cam kits with springs will not work on the 4.0 head. the stock springs are only good for .430" lift so ive read some say .450" research will be your friend. I personally am going high comp beings mine will not be a DD

i wanna keep mine real low. i wanna be able to run on 87. mine is my dd and i am shooting for gas milage as well as power. I am thinkiing about running a supper small turbo also just to see if i can do it. i wanna run 4-6psi with the smallest turbo i can find so it doesnt have much lag.

im still in the toying in my head process but i got like 3 4.0s laying around and a couple of 4.2 crank and rods. so id be dumb not to do something with them

turbo is still a maybe but dont want to rule it out hense the wanna go low compression

If one of your 4.0s is a renix you are a step ahead, renix has knock sensors, even a small turbo i will interested to see if you can run 87 but if wanna get creative ive done research on water injection it can be done for $100 or less

dont wanna build a renix. i think they are all the HO. dont wanna do water injection. when turboed i would switch to 91 octane but would run a controller so i could go up and down with boost depending on what gas and what power i wanted

ya I think it was worth it I have a fresh motor and about $600 into it with machine work on the head and block. It pulls way harder at way lower rpm, I feel it rip into 3rd harder.
