Budget stroker is done! I used a 90 4.2 crank and rods with my stock pistons. I have $650 into the whole thing. I bought the reconditioned crank and rods from ebay.(machine shop said was good) hot tanked decked and honed my block, new bearings & rings. head was treated to a valve job. I have the stock size cam and factory injectors. So I'm trying to figure out my hp/ torque gains. It feels like it pulls way harder at take off(not pushing too hard yet) though the machine shop sez its probably only 25-30 more hp without a injector or throttle body/ exhaust mod. oh ya will my 242 transfer case explode now?
I wouldnt worry about the 242, theyre "statistically" stronger according to NVGs Numbering system.

Can you build me one and send it over? My 89 is crying for a new motor.

Thanks, I'm hoping that my drivetrain will remain tight. I'm probably over thinking things anyway, these things seem strong at times. I'm so pleased cause at the moment I have no fluid loss, this thing has had like 4 different oil leaks in the past. I used so much engine degreaser under this thing that I got high and puked, gotta love the oil filter adapter.
