I have a 2in bblift with 30" tires and a 4.0 motor with a 8.8 rear and a Dana 30 front. I know it'll never be like stock but anyway, I figure that if I gonna keep it for a while since this is my only vehicle as of now, I might as well regear now instead of later. So 4.10 or 4.56? Mostly I drive around town and to school but I'm on the freeway some also, I probably won't go to 35's ever. also this is a 5 speed 2 door cherokee, and i will eventually go to 33in soon aswell.

4.10's seem to me to be a gear choice that isnt that harsh on the road and they give you the ability to conquer the rocks when stock gearing just wont cut it.

Good info on this thread guys
if you dont mind I have a quick question, how do you go about changing your gear ratio? do you need to buy different parts? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've never read up on it.
