Hello fellows,

I hope one of you guys in the know can help me out...? I have looked at a good bit of info on the achives before asking..needless to say I couldnt find a match...

I have a 95 GC with a 4/0 auto. I have had a battery out of it for a while. I put a new battery in it the other day and tried starting it up. The lights blink like an alarm is flashing and the security light on the dash is blinking. The truck will start for a sec or two then die. I cant give it any fuel or it will die even quicker..but it will start up almost everytime but after it runs for a couple of secs its over...

It has to be related to this security thing, I dunno? I have tried pulling the battery cables and reinstalling and the same thing occurs, the side markers are blinking, the dash security light and the high beam indicator is also blinking..anybody have a clue how I shut this off? I dont have a chip key and I have tried putting the key in the door a couple times and still no change. I see nothing under the dash to push.

I have not had this very long however when I first got it the battery was taken out of the truck and later reinstalled, which it worked fine with no blinking lights? so I'm really not sure whats up...I have looked at my manuel and they dont even bring a security light up?...

Did it work? I'm having this problem too. Only my sercurity light stopped blinking when the key is off and only comes on when I turn the key on now but still won't stay running. thanks
