4.0 no start

4.0 no start
My engine won't start I'm my 1997 xj. It has the 4.0. Recently put a new alternator and battery on it.(few weeks). Engine turns over fine. I did have a tps code come up yesterday. I still could start it and drive it around yesterday. Today I took the connector off for the tps sensor and cleaned it and plugged it back in. I don't think that it could cause a no start but I don't know.
