Default 4.0 crank no start after heat soak

Hey everyone my name is Zach and I've got a 95 Cherokee country that recently started having problems starting after shutting off the engine for 30 min or so. The first time it happen it was the crank sensor so replaced the sensor and it started up fine. It has sense done the hot crank no start several times. I have fuel pressure but no spark when this happens. I've replaced the crank sensor, ignition coil, cap and rotor, plugs, and wires. Still having the problem. Here's the odd part, if I put ice on the distributor cap and on the coil and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes it will fire right up. Any ideas on what else it could be or if it could be the distributor itself failing when it's hot?

both places you putting ice have modules under the coil is the ignition mudules in the dist theres a cam position sensor . the one in the distributor telles the injectors when to fire, the other works with the coil haveyou replaced either one of them yet?

How hot is your motor getting? If your 95 is like my 93 you just have a coil bolted to your block? I really don't see how applying ice to the top of your cap helped it's plastic and wouldn't have transfered the cold anywhere important. The coil on the other hand could get hot enough for a no spark situation. If you have tested your cps and ckp while hot and they tested good and you made sure your wiring is ok to the coil and everything else, you could relocate the coil or provide a heat shield for it. But I would try to find out why my engine is running hot enough for those components to fail from heat in the first place.

The engine never gets over 210 while driving. And I have thought about re-locating the coil, It just failed again today after the dist pick up assembly and cam sensor. I found a different coil design so I'm going to put this one on and see what it does. Thank you all very much for your advice
