To be honest I had bushwackers for a while and think they were the worst $400 I ever spent on my Jeep. After 3 month's of light wheeling I had destroyed them all to the point they were garbage. They stick out and catch stuff like big wings.

Flareless is 10000x better. I doubt you will have any legal trouble, it depends on your state but it is pretty rare anyways.

ya tube fenders are the way to go. (welded metal fenders) they wont break. but has anyone run the bushwacker flat flares. a little off topic but was wondering if they were stronger than the cutouts. those could be an option if you cant make your own.

I am running 33/12.50's on stock rims with a rough country 4.5" lift. They do rub on tight turns and I plan on trimming the corners of the fenders.

Homemade isnt a bad way to go if you really want flares. The flat fenders aren't any stronger.

Rusty's makes some kind of somewhat flexible flare which is ok from what I have heard as far as durability.

well this is a 4.5 long arm with 33x10.5's...it only rubs at full flex like this

and this is how it is on the other side...i actually like these fenders, they dont really screw up or anything, stay on all the time...btw, my fenders are trimmed quite a bit
