my buddies uncle was wondering if 31x10.5 would fit on a stock height jeep with the factory wheels on it? i told hiim they might rub on the inside when he turns. lmk thanks for any help,scott

You will rub the fenders and the control arms. So you would need difference back spaced rims, spacers and fender trimming.

i have 31s on my cherokee but i dont have stock wheels. im not so sure if 10.50s will fit on that thin of a rim. but he could try. oh and i have my fenders trimmed to if you go into the lift and tire setup my jeep should be on the last page. its the primer gray jeep with soft 8's.

i had 31 on my 87 cherokee it was okay but i had them on for a week then got the lift.
i work at a tire shop and i helped this guy put 31 on a stock xj it was like a 99 country we put 1.25" spacers and it only rub the front fenders whenyou turned all the way to the right and left but nothing a sledgehammer fixes that
btw i have 33 12.5 on stock steels fit good!

I am currently running 31 1050's on my xj it's stock get a razorblade to it where it rubs and your good mines also on one of the last pages of the life tire set up thread it's the tan on on soft 8's
so he would need wheels with 4 backspacing to clear from rubbing? i have a set of 17x9's soft 8's with 5 inch backspacing and rub a little. i believe my tires 31x9.5's.

here this is what i wuld do put them on the stock wheels an if they rub a little then make it where they dont
if they rub a lot then swicth wheels.
