Default 31" tires in the stock spare tire mounts?

Anyone know if it'll fit in there? I'm getting some 31's in about a week and want to know how pressing this spare tire storage is.

Anyone who knows anything knows that a full-size spare is totally worth it. My pops seems convinced that I should have bought 4 and just used my 'old' 28" tire for a spare....

It will not fit, I have a 235/75-15 in the spare tire holder right now and the back hatch barely shuts, just barely.

I have 31's with a full size spare and it wouldn't fit in the stock location. I think I read somewhere that it might just fit if you take out the black metal base. I'm not sure though because I seem to remember that it was more the seat that was on the way but it's something to try. I just threw my spare on the roof.

x2. I have one of those back there, brand new. I am a 100% supporter of the full-size spare.

The full size spare just makes better since. It is much more safe than running an odd sized tire. Anybody with a locking diff. will tell you an odd sized tire just won't work.

Where do I put the damn thing? I'm having trouble finding a roof rack on a budget

A full size spare is worth it. I didn't even try to get my 31 in the stock location. I removed the hardware in the stock location and used 2 bungees and secured the 31 in the rear area.

You can lay it flat in the rear cargo area. You will lose alot of space but it works.

I dint think of that. They make a cargo rack for the back that is the same construction as a roof rack.

That's actually a really good idea. I'll start looking into this. I have a beautiful table saw for it too
