Default 31 tires, good deal?

What do you guys think of this deal?

He wants $225 for them, planning on putting a 2" lift on mine, so they should fit fine then right?

i would try 175, those are cheap stock rims, and ok ish tires, if they look like there in good shape when you get there detirmine the condition and go from there but if they are 40% tread and look beat dont let him rob you

I wouldn't pay $225 for those with that amount of tread left. Just wait around a u-pull-it-yourself junkyard and see what comes in. My buddy and I are always at our local junkyard, so we pretty much get first dibs on what comes in. He got a set of 4 American Racing Outlaw rims with BFG A/Ts like those with about 75% tread for $100. That's only $25 a wheel. I'd say keep your money, and wait for a better deal, because those tires are about $130 each and I'm sure you don't wanna be putting new tires on in a few months. Just my two cents though.

A lot of people on Craigslist seem confused about the price and value of things.

x2. They figure they can practically sell anything for the cost of it brand new.

yea I was just feeling it out, but if he thinks he can get 225 for them then he can try his best, but when he doesnt sell tehm for a month I will still be waiting with my like $100 offer, until then I will just keep my eyes open at the junk yards.

yea man $225 is a little high. I didn't pay but $100 for my boggers with about 40% tread on em but I knew the guy really well (I wouldn't go over $150 unless they had more tread like aroud 60%)

Just as a frame of reference, I sold these 5 almost new MT tires and
stock rims for $250. There are deals on CL. You just have to be
patient.

Honestly the set you were looking at appeared to have less than
the advertised 40% of tread left. If you find another candidate be
sure to check the tires for cupping. People that don't keep their
vehicles aligned, tires balanced, rotated and pressure correct (most don't)
will have this problem and I think it's worse on tires with the more
aggressive tread patterns.
