Default 31 and no lift?

everyone tells me that i can fit 31 inch tires with no lift on my cherokee. and ive been eye balling it and i can see that it just might. if i went with bushwacker flat fenders and no lift, whats the consensus on fitting some mildly agressive 31 inch tires? do you think it would bump and rub a ton?

for sure will rub your lca's at full lock... I have that issue with mine at the moment. I have a 2" bb so I dunno about being stock with them. I had 4x4 magazine that said it would work, but other people here have said it will not with out trimming... so minus the info on the lca's, someone else should chime in.

I had this setup a while back with 31-10.5-15 BFG AT's. It actually worked pretty well, there was some rub at the extremes of the steering... But nothing terrible. The only thing I would consider now is the condition of the rear leaf springs. If they have the typical old xj sag... May have some trouble with any load or bump.
