Default Should I go with 8 or 7"?

the backspacing is different from stock 15x7s. I just dont want rubbing or hitting the flares. Cant afford lift anytime soon. i know 8" will let me upgrade tires after the lift.

Yeah the backspacing is different. I still have stock wheels on mine but plan on the same tire size and rims you are getting. The backspacing just means the wheels/tires will set slightly more out from the vehicle than stock.

Check out this thread to see lots of different lift/tire setups

Default 8"or 7" doesnt matter?

Will the tires stick out so far they hit the flares? Thanks for the quick response.

I work the overnight shift 2 nights per week at a hotel

So not a whole lot else to do but sit here and browse CF, watch movies, play games etc.

And I don't think they will rub maybe on flexing they will rub but you can always trim em, they are just plastic.

One of the first things I did to mine was rip em completely off but that depends on the local laws for fender flares in your area. Some places require the tires to be covered.

Default I bought it from my neighbor.

I promised to not beat it up. lol. I have two 95s. The one I just got is Sweet! One owner. Still had the window sticker. Stock offroad package. NP242 transfer case AND stock locking rear diff! The AC even works. 150000 miles. I hope he understands when it comes home mud brown instead of blue. Stole it for 1500.

i have 16x8s with 4.25 back spacing but my tires are 10.5 vs 9.5 and they stick out.

So maybe search around for a little more and look maybe into 4.5"
And look for pictures of just 30s on 4" and 4.5" backspacing just to double check

I can't find a good picture but here is one. They stick out to my sliders and maybe a little further up front.

This one is better

it wont look bad if they stick out, i have 3 1/2 backspacing and a -13 offset. they stick out a inch from the flares. and honestly, if you let it rub for long enough it will fix itsself....one way or another

right it wont look bad but i think he doesnt want it to fix itself ie popping a flare off or having to trim. Best bet is if you do get them and they do rub, get bumpstops, bc i am sure that you will need them if you decide to take it out riding, but on the street you may not need them at all.

I put on 30's before I got my lift, didn't rub unless I hit a speed bump hard (rear wheel only), but I didn't take it off road either.

I've got 31 10.50's on 15x8 American Racing Outlaw II wheels and they rub like crazy. I'm installing pucks today or tomorrow and have longer shackles in back. Might have to put an AAL or do a bastard pack. We'll see.
