Has anybody on here ever swapped a 5.0L Ford into a Cherokee?
I'm looking at a 98 Cherokee with a bad motor & I've got a couple 5.0 engines (being a Ford guy at heart) laying around. I could go carb'd or FI. I don't have an auto tranny, so I'm gonna need an adaptor. I'm not looking for a hotrod, just something different. Thanks.

 

anything is possible with time and money and fab skills, yes you gonna have to buy an adapter, you might have to cut away some of the fire wall to clear the bell housing i think, new motor mounts, and beef up the unibody

 

If I was going to do all the work for a swap I would not put in a 5.0!
