Hello Everyone,
I have installed the Rustys 3" AAL system for my XJ and all went well except my rear shock nuts broke as always and I also couldn't figure out the rear brake line extension bracket??
The shock bolts I got but the z-bracket has me confused. The instructions tell me to bolt it in place on the underside of the jeep and hook the brake line in place? DUH! My current bracket is welded and there is no "slit" in the bracket to clip the line into? It looks like you have to unhook the brake line and push it through the hole?
Anyone already have this done? Pics would be great.

Mine just came with the bracket, nut and bolt?

hmmm, im not sure what you mean by the extension "bracket" are you talking about where your brake line attaches to your axle breather? or where it attaches to the body of the jeep?

Where the line attaches to the body of the jeep. It says to mount it on the body? So I guess drill a hole and tap it to run the bolt into the body? Seems like the only thing I could come up with?

then it should be the same as mine, you shouldn't have to drill anything when you install a new brake line in the rear. I cant remember exactly how it was attached but look for a U-shaped clip that holds the connection together, if its there It is probably covered with rust and dirt and hard to see. I would have to go take a look at mine to be sure though. good luck!!

Where the brake line attaches to the frame, take the C clip off, undo the nut on the hard line from the rubber line and separate them. Then install the bracket and bend the hard line down and reassemble through the bracket hole and bleed the brakes.
