when I made my intake, I couldn't find 3" pvc anywhere, so I just used 3" exhaust pipe, good luck finding what you need bud.

3" hard to get at the local hardware, never heard of 2 1/2" pvc. Lowes here has 3" and 4" black sewer pvc. But the best place would be an irrigation supply or Farm supply or a plumbing supplier.

never done it but you think 3 inch is too big and 2 inch too small then go 2.5 PVC. just go to ANY hardware store and they'll have it, if they dont then they're not a hardware store... I'd know, i work at Ace 2.5 inch is the most common size (sump pumps)

They make 3" intakes for cars all the time. So I think its fine. My old civic had a 3" intake and my Infiniti FX35 has a 3" intake.

It really doesn't matter how big of pipeing you go because the amount of air being put into the motor is limited/controled by the air filter and throttle body. It might improve flow but wont cause problems. Atleast that is the info i have gotten. IMO the only prossible problem with 3" could be feild of vision being effected. Im sure there are guys who know much more this than me. hope this helps
