Default 3.5" lift kit questions

So im new to the forum and i would like to know all of yall's opinions on the rubicon express 3.5" lift kit. if you have it would u recommend it? any thing to look for if i get it and go to install it? is there a kit for a similar price you would recommend over the rubicon express?

I've heard that RE makes good stuff but as of late there have been a few ppl that have had bad experiences with their customer service. I'd recommend Rough Country and just get their 3" lift.

For the price difference you could go to the RC 4.5 and pay about the same as RE's 3.5 kit.

From their respective websites.

RE's 3.5 AAL kit $403.95

RC's 4.5 AAL kit $458.95

RE's 3.5 kit with full spring pack $584.95

RC's 4.5 kit with full spring pack $655.95

I was thinking of doing a 3 inch rough contry and running 31x10.5 Will I have to get a wheel alignment and do I have to extend the brake lines. The jeep is my wifes daily.

I have got the RE Superride kit, well coils/full leaf springs, along with RE's TC drop and Adjustable track bar. I love the lift and netted about 4-4.5 out of it. I also bought RC products to go with the RE stuff. Control arms, sway bar links, shocks, brake line relocating brackets. I love my lift and thing RE is a great product. Their customer support was pretty useless the one time i needed them, about my Heim Joint in my track bar making noise... they said they wear after a year.. i said well its been 2 weeks and i have to oil it to get the noise away.. he said... well they are like 30 bucks to replace. basically i am SOL.

I personally wouldnt buy the RE trackbar if i had it to do over again, and I have only had it on my car for 3 weeks, only cause it started making a creaking noise and clicking noise in the heim joint... sure oil/spray lube quieted it for now, but the fact that you have to drill a 5/8 hole to install this pretty much locks you into, unless you fab up a new bracket or something.

Anyway i quoted these prices, cause I dont want you to forget that shocks DO NOT come with the RE kits. so add another 130 if you went with RC shocks for the RE kit.

Not to get off topic here, but yes it is. make a long story short.. i had a popping noise from the front.. hunted it down to the track bar, found my bolt wasnt torqued enough, tightened that locknut down and it went away.. a week later i started getting a similar but more constant... tick tick tick when turning, and if i turned super slow it was a creeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaak. i had my buddy come over and i went over and torqued it 5 more ft lbs to 115, as the manual stated to do. sound got worse.. so im like WTF, and was like well im going to spray some oil up in the joint just to see if maybe my unibody was maybe causing the noise via a crack. magically, the noise went away. So next day I call them and the guy just really didnt want to help, his name was Eric. I explained how i just got it and everything i found and did. and he asked me what it was torqued too, i told him 115. he says... oh there is a typo, supposed to be 150. i said well that is going to be pretty impossible to do. i muscled that thing to 115. I dont believe him, that seems WAY too much. basically he didnt help me, and i have read others that have to oil/grease it occasionally. no big deal, you get aftermarket/start modifying i guess there is going to be maintenance that you wouldnt have with a stock setup.
