I have the front done already, no new lines needed, but I am wondering if I will need new lines for the rear. I am building a BP with some Dakota rear leafs, should net about 4" lift (front is 3"). At 4" will I need to get a set of new lines? YJ rear lines?

Or should I wait until I do the rear and see if I will need them, the only issue is the nearest parts store is at least an hour round trip away. If I WILL need them I might as well buy them now (I have to return the spring compressor from doing the front end).

You will most likely have to replace the rubber line that goes from the body to the axle. I think you can use a yj line but i'm not sure how much longer it is. Hopefully someone else will chime in but if you can't find anything by searching here, try searching Naxja

Really? My back one was pulled tight on my last xj at 3.5". Just goes to show that each one is different

My front lines were plenty long, even long enough to drop the axle and get the stock spring out without removing the caliper. Hopefully that is the case in the back. I guess I will hold off on buying lines until I do the spring install. Looking like next week before I can get back to it though. :-(
