2wd & 4wd suspension comparison

2wd & 4wd suspension comparison
Is the suspension & unibody identical on a 2wd & 4wd Cherokee / Comanche? Would making a 2wd into a 4wd only consist of swapping in a front differential, tranfer case and it's cross member?

As far as I know...yes and yes, for the most part. It's been done quite a few times....do a search on the site for 4wd conversion. Pretty sure there are a couple of build threads where guys did this.

Basically yes but you will also need the transmission from the 4wd as the 2wd trans is different in the tail shaft I do believe.
